EQUIPMENT
The Radio is a Kenwood TK805D from the early 90s. This has been modified to provide a COR on the opening of the squelch using the guide on Repeater Builder. The power has been turned down to the minimum and the speaker has been removed.
The Interface from the radio is one from M0AQC.
The AllStarLink software runs on a Raspberry Pi 2 with a ethernet connection into my WiFi mesh home network.
All of the above have been fitted into a old commercial radio control room speaker box, picked up for a few pounds at a rally. The radio has two fans sitting on its heatsink with an additional exaust fan on the case. Currently in progress is tempreture monitoring to control the fans and LED indication of node status.
The powersupply is a slightly modified ZETAGI 3 Amp CB style PSU. It has a Artic Cooling 8TC fan on it which has an external temp sensor to control its speed, this keeps the PSU cool for long periods of duty cycle.
